Evaluation of ESG Initiatives

As of July 10 2025, we have received the following external evaluations for our ESG initiatives:

FTSE Blossom Japan Index

Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan. 
FTSE Russell evaluations are based on performance in areas such as Corporate Governance, Health & Safety, Anti-Corruption and Climate Change.  Businesses included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index meet a variety of environmental, social and governance criteria.
It is also selected as an ESG index by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

FTSE Russell confirms that Japan Lifeline Co., Ltd. has been independently assessed according to the index criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index. Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.
S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed as a sector neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan. The index selects companies with higher ESG Ratings within the top 50% of each sector and supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts via the Transition Pathway Initiative’s Management Quality Score.*
It is also selected as an ESG index by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

*Transition Pathway Initiative’s Management Quality Score: A score that assesses companies on carbon emissions data and the management of risks and opportunities for a transition to a low-carbon economy.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

This index is designed to measure the performance of companies in the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX), while overweighting or underweighting those companies that have lower or higher levels of carbon emissions per unit of revenue. It is also selected as an ESG index by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

Built with the data and scoring methodology of Equileap, the Morningstar Gender Diversity Indexes are designed to emphasize the stocks of companies that have strong gender diversity policies embedded in their corporate culture and that ensure equal opportunities to employees, irrespective of their gender. It is also selected as an ESG index by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization 2025

This is a program co-hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi that certifies and commends organizations implementing outstanding health and productivity management. Our company has been certified for five consecutive years since 2021.
